경남교육청, 제8기 주민참여예산위원회 출범

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남교육청은 27일 본청 강당에서 제8기 주민참여예산위원회 위촉식을 열고 위원 40명을 위촉했다.

제8기 주민참여예산위원회는 공개모집과 추천을 통해 다양한 연령과 직업군의 도민으로 구성됐으며, 임기는 2026년 7월부터 2028년 6월까지 2년이다.

위원회는 4개 분과로 운영되며 학생·학부모·교직원 등 교육공동체의 의견을 수렴해 교육재정 운영 개선안을 제시하고, 주민참여예산 제안사업을 심의하는 역할을 맡는다.

이날 위촉식에서는 위촉장 수여와 함께 주민참여예산제 운영 절차와 위원회의 기능에 대한 연수가 진행됐으며, 위원장과 부위원장 선출 등 위원회 운영 절차도 마무리됐다.

경남교육청은 올해 접수된 주민참여예산 제안사업을 관련 부서 검토와 주민참여예산위원회 심의를 거쳐 선정한 뒤 2027년도 본예산에 반영할 계획이다.

권순기 경남교육감은 "주민참여예산은 주민이 예산 편성 과정에 직접 참여해 필요한 사업의 우선순위를 결정하는 제도"라며 "위원들이 도민의 눈높이에서 예산이 필요한 곳에 효율적으로 반영될 수 있도록 역할을 해달라"고 말했다.
