Samsung Medison is combining its U.S. imaging businesses Boston Imaging and NeuroLogica under a new corporate identity, Samsung HME America, bringing its ultrasound, digital radiography and CT operations under one brand in the U.S., the company
said
in a Monday release, U.S. time.
A Samsung Medison spokesperson told Korea Biomedical Review that the move is mainly a branding and sales-channel integration rather than a broader operational overhaul. The goal, the spokesperson said, is to unify sales across product lines in the U.S., similar to how Samsung Medison and Samsung Electronics’ medical equipment business already work together in Korea.
The spokesperson added that there was no specific trigger behind the decision and that customers are not expected to see any direct impact from the shift. The company does not expect meaningful changes to customer-facing operations as a result of the rebrand, the spokesperson said.
Samsung Medison said Samsung HME America will cover its U.S. ultrasound, digital radiography and CT businesses. Tracy Bury, the company’s chief commercial officer, said the unified structure is intended to create a more consistent experience across Samsung’s imaging lines.
The announcement also highlighted recent U.S. imaging and AI moves, including the R20 and Z20 ultrasound systems, an expanded digital radiography lineup and the acquisition of Sonio, a French prenatal ultrasound AI company. Samsung said Samsung HME America will remain the global headquarters and manufacturing center for its CT business.
