Ilyang Pharmaceutical said Tuesday that its trivalent influenza vaccine Ilyang Flu and quadrivalent vaccine Teratect have received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for use in infants aged 6 months to under 3 years.

Previously administered only to children aged 3 years and older, adolescents, and adults, the expanded indication now allows the vaccines to be used in infants aged 6 months to under 3 years. The company expects this approval to help increase its supply under the National Immunization Program (NIP).
Ilyang Pharmaceutical also said it has expanded manufacturing capacity to support higher output and improve profitability.
The company added that it had secured influenza strains for the Southern Hemisphere and established year-round production capabilities to expand its global market presence and participate in international tenders.
