Dong-A ST said Friday that it signed a distribution agreement with Brazilian cardiac monitoring company CARDIOS for its remote patient monitoring solution, HiCardi+, during Hospitalar 2026, the largest healthcare exhibition in Latin America, held in São Paulo on Thursday (local time).
Under the agreement, Dong-A ST will establish a three-party distribution system in Brazil together with its existing partner, CARDIO WEB, and CARDIOS. Through collaboration with both companies, Dong-A ST plans to accelerate its expansion into the digital healthcare market by leveraging Brazil’s distribution networks and hospital sales infrastructure.

In 2024, Dong-A ST signed an exclusive sales agreement for HiCardi in Brazil with CARDIO WEB and obtained approval for the use of HiCardi+ from Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) under the Ministry of Health in February 2025. The company officially launched HiCardi+ in the Brazilian market in June of the same year at “SOCESP 2025,” the annual congress of the São Paulo State Society of Cardiology.
CARDIO WEB specializes in cardiac diagnostic equipment and telemedicine solutions in Brazil and has actively expanded its business through partnerships with local healthcare institutions and medical networks.
CARDIOS is one of Brazil’s leading companies in cardiac diagnostics and cardiovascular disease monitoring. The company has further expanded its influence across Brazil and Latin America after becoming part of the Italy-based global cardiac diagnostics and telemedicine group Cardioline.
HiCardi+ is a wearable patch-type remote patient monitoring solution that continuously measures patients’ biometric signals and activity status -- including electrocardiogram (ECG), body temperature, and respiration -- for up to 72 hours while wirelessly transmitting data in real time. Through the accompanying “Live Studio” software platform, healthcare professionals can monitor multiple patients simultaneously in real time.
“The partnership with CARDIOS marks an important turning point beyond simply supplying products, as it will help expand hospital distribution networks and the remote monitoring ecosystem in Brazil,” a Dong-A ST official said. “Starting with Brazil, we plan to fully expand our HiCardi-based digital healthcare business across Latin America and accelerate our entry into the global market.”
