Las Vegas landmarks, including the city's globe-shaped entertainment venue Sphere, will be wrapped in BTS-themed content tied to the new "Arirang" album as the K-pop supergroup stages a city-wide takeover ahead of its tour dates on the Strip this month, the band's agency BigHit Music announced Friday.

The campaign, officially titled "BTS The City Arirang — Las Vegas" is set to run from Wednesday to May 31. It marks the launch of "Global The City 2.0" project, which is an expanded evolution of the band's existing "The City" concept now being rolled out across major cities worldwide.

"The City" project began when BTS staged its "Permission to Dance on Stage" tour to Las Vegas in 2022. Major landmarks were bathed in purple — the signature color of the group's global fan base, ARMY — while BTS-themed events fanned out across the city, from musical fountain shows and drone light displays to photo exhibitions and multimedia installations.

This year, BTS has partnered with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, a quasi-government agency for destination marketing, to expand the campaign, with the band's new album providing the visual theme of a deep crimson.

BTS is set to perform on May 23, 24, 27 and 28 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas as part of its "Arirang" world tour that kicked off in Korea last month. It released the "Arirang" album on March 20 .

On concert dates, the Strip's most recognizable landmarks will simultaneously light up in red, including the High Roller observation wheel, the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas, The Las Vegas Gateway Arches, Luxor Hotel & Casino and Mandalay Bay hotel, said BigHit Music. From 11 p.m. to midnight on each show night, major digital billboards across the Strip will run BTS welcome messages as part of a large-scale, out-of-home advertising takeover.

The Sphere's entire exterior is set to be covered in large-scale digital content themed around "Arirang" throughout the project period as well.

Welcome parties are also scheduled at Tailgate Beach Club on May 22 and 26 — the evenings before each concert weekend. Food and beverage collaborations, including with bakery chain Tous Les Jours, and a curated culinary tour round out the off-stage programming, turning the city itself into a festival ground.
